Libhugetlbfs hasn’t update the version until 2020.09.08, and nobody handles the issues in the github. I notice that openSUSE Leap 15.4 is still support this software, I woule like to know that how the will we treat this software, will we keep supporting this software in following versions?
@SakuraEcho Hi and welcome to the Forum
The Leap version is supported, if there are security and bug fixes needed, then those are backported into that version, else there won’t be a version update for the Leap lifetime.
If you have a specific issue then you need to report as a bug, see openSUSE:Submitting bug reports - openSUSE Wiki
Who are those “we” you are talking about? You are certainly free to support this software, you need not ask anyone permissions. This software is still provided by Tumbleweed, so as long as it builds and there are no bug reports most likely it will continue to be offered. The last commit on OBS is 11 hours ago so apparently someone still looks over this package.
The word we means openSUSE, thank you for your answer.
