Will 11.2 Milestone 7 Online update to 11.2?

Hi, If I install 11.2 Milestone 7 will it Online update to the final 11.2 once it is released or will I have to download the final release too and either do a fresh install or an update?

I’m about to buy a new computer. Would people recommend installing 11.0, 11.1 or 11.2 Milestone 7 now before moving to 11.2 final release once it is abailable?

Also, I’m deciding between a Core 2 Quad or an i7 Core based computer. Are there issues with either of these and openSUSE 11.0, 11.1 or 11.2?

Thanks,

David.

11.2 is not for production use; install 11.1. openSUSE will normally take account of your hardware and install the most appropriate configuration.

One gottcha I found, If you plan on running a Virtual machine with a guest
like Windows 7, or 64 bit Linux guest (on Sun VirtualBox) you need the
Virtual Technology logic. This is either Intel VT-x or the AMD equal. This
applies to the Motherboard, BIOS and CPU Chip. I think both of the
processors you mention have it.

I bought a Core 2 Duo (2.5 MHZ) E7200 about 7 months ago and then found out
it did not have the VT-x technology. The 3.0 MHZ model does have it.

Hope this helps.
