Wifi works despite no wifi icon

I’ve installed KDE, OpenBox, Xfce desktops just for kicks.
In Gnome wifi icon has appeared.
So, I’ll uninstall all but KDE which seems to be the fix of the missing Gnome icon display and BTW it looks and feels so flipping good!

BTW
Numix squere icon theme is a little gem in this release!
