You have problems before step 5. You udev rules are messed up. Please post the
contents of /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules.

Once I see what rules you have, I should be able to straighten that out.

lwfinger

Sorry about the slow reply, I am very busy right now but I want to try and get this figured out.
This is what I find in that file

This file was automatically generated by the /lib/udev/write_net_rules

program, run by the persistent-net-generator.rules rules file.

You can modify it,as long as you keep each rule on a single

line, and change only the value of the NAME= key.

Can you tell the problem from this?

No, these are right. The wireless interface should be eth1 and the wired one
eth0. All the multiple naming is due to the fact that both network devices start
out as eth0.

I know nothing of that airo driver. I won’t be able to help more. Sorry

OK Thanks anyway.
Anyone else have any ideas what my problem is.

Thanks

So can anyone help me?
Or am I SOL.
