Wifi of Gigabyte X79-UD5

Hello ,i just bought Gigabyte X79-UD5, my wifi doesnt work :
motherboard : Gigabyte X79-UD5
Wifi -card : GC- Gigabyte (atheros chipset)

i use opensuse 12.2 ,

i ve tried :
compat-wireless from opensuse site rpms.

My crystal ball is broken, thus I have no idea what wireless device you have.
Vendor models are very unreliable. I just bought a Belkin N600 DB to get a
device with a particular Realtek chip as recommended by the Realtek engineer.
The device I got has a Broadcom chip!!! :frowning:

You need to post the output of ‘/sbin/lspci -nn’ so that we know the PCI ID of
that Atheros chip. If that is a new model, the ath9k driver may not handle it.
In addition, check the dmesg output to see if the firmware is missing.
