Wifi module detected but not active

Hi Forum,
Suddenly the wifi connection of my Lenovo Thinkcentre running Leap 15.6 is not active anymore. I can see the intel card in hwinfo, it is not locked , but it is not available as an option in either wicked or network manager

Thank You. I tried to go install the mentioned kernel in the thread without luck. I will be waiting for a solution (kernel update).

@Tarp:

Do you have the Intel firmware package installed?

  • kernel-firmware-intel

Does the following indicate anything?

# dmesg | grep iwl

Yes “kernel-firmware-intel” is installed.

# dmesg | grep iwl

produces this output (as root):

[ 7.930899] iwlwifi 0000:02:00.0: enabling device (0000 → 0002)
[ 8.036733] iwlwifi: probe of 0000:02:00.0 failed with error -110

post:
dmesg | grep -Ei 'iwl|firm|wla|err'
