Wifi completely lost -- likely broadcom driver is the root of problem

In moving away from packman I moved the wifi broadcom drivers to other repos. See below. As of now there is no wifi. Network icon in panel reports no wifi at all.
lspci report finding mb wireless device but has no driver.

Search gave link below but didn’t give any solution for me.

I went through the broadcom setup a few years ago but forgot the solution. Any one with any suggestions.

thanks, tom kosvic

Delete all the Broadcom drivers and use the 3 Broadcom-packages from the hardware Repo:
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hardware/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/

Worked fine. wifi back. Any reason as to why the others didn’t function?

thanks, tom kosvic

broadcom-wl in the hardware Repo is the same as the one in Packman.

I do not know, how that broadcom-wl from the non-Oss Repo is build, which sources and so on.

I made a request to use the broadcom from hardware Repo also in the non-Oss Repo.

My results say that should work.

Question: should I keep hardware repo in play for updates?

thanks again, tom kosvic

Yes, you can see the difference in the kernel with the old kmp in #1 and the new in #3
