WiFi adapter doesn't work in Lenovo B590

What driver I have to install for Lenovo B590 WiFi adapter?
In what repository I can find a driver?
System: openSUSE 13.2, MATE 1.8.1
WiFi adapter: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [14e4:43] (rev 02).

PLEASE HELP!

This chipset (14e4:4318) is supported by the b43 driver.

Follow the instructions here:
http://opensuse-guide.org/wlan.php
In particular, don’t for get to install the firmware.

You may need to install the firmware packge via another machine with internet connectivity. Then transfer to the laptop and install:

Excuse me, but when I did this command - hwinfo --wlan --short
It shows this:
network:
wlp2s0 Broadcom BCM43142 802.11b/g/n

And when I do the command* lspci* ut shows this:

The BCM43142 is not supported by the b43 driver, see here: en:users:drivers:b43 [Linux Wireless]

You need to install the broadcom-wl propietary driver, available from Packman:

(if you can connect to the internet by other means, wired ethernet e.g., you can also just add the Packman repo and install the packages with YaST or zypper)

Please note that you need the broadcom-wl package, and one of the broadcom-wl-kmp-xxx ones matching your kernel (e.g. broadcom-wl-kmp-desktop for kernel-desktop).

It works, thaks a lot!

P.S. I’ve installed broadcom-wl and broadcom-wl-kmp-desktop

Ah, so the correct device as reported by lspci was

02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)

This is not supported by b43, and really highlights the necessity of providing the correct wireless chupset in the first place, otherwise we’re left to guess.

Thank you very much
