Wifi 7 does not work out of the box

I thought all the wifi chips had drivers in the kernel since 6.5?
I have a motherboard, ROG x870-i, with wifi-7 (no idea on the actual chip), but it doesn’t work out of the box, is there something I have to do to enable it or grab drivers?
Bought a wifi 6 wireless adapter, archer tx20u nano, but it also doesn’t work out of the box, there was a github repo for some driver, it has instructions for a deb/ubuntu system though.
Is there something obvious I am missing?

No, they don’t.

That looks to me like a Bluetooth dongle:

Don’t most if not all mobo wifi solutions also provide the bluetooth?

Is this your Mobo?

Can you check using lspci if it is indeed shows “Network controller: MEDIATEK Corp. Device 7927”

Yes.
Dang, I guess I will just have to wait? Which is fine, I thought the drivers were already out.

jerm@jermPC ~> lspci | grep -i "mediatek"
6f:00.0 Network controller: MEDIATEK Corp. Device 7927

Likely, searching for “Linux MT7927” not older than past year gave me only that this card is not supported yet.

You could use this driver:

Add the Repo:
zypper ar -f https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Sauerland:/hardware/openSUSE_Tumbleweed Sauerland-Hardware

zypper install rtl8852bu-kmp-default rtl8852bu-ueficert rtl8852bu-conf

Thanks for putting it on the OBS, it was a breeze to install.
For some reason, the usb adapter is still not working.
Does the repo and signature need to be retained?
I used the opi command to install this.

Network:
  Device-1: MEDIATEK driver: N/A
Device-2: Intel Ethernet I226-V driver: igc
Device-3: Realtek 802.11ac WLAN Adapter driver: N/A type: USB

Do you use secure boot?
mokutil --sb-state
If yes, have you added the key to the mok database?

PS:
do not use opi for anything, that can be waste your system.

You are so right.
Do I add your key from the repo to the mok database?

As root:
mokutil --import /etc/uefi/certs/FA6CB96E.crt
That will add it on next boot to the mok database.

This is an example how to add on reboot, when asking for passwort, the root password is needed.
Mok Example

PS:
The cert is inside the rtl8852bu-ueficert.rpm and the package will be automatically installed, when the kmp is installed and it does not hurt, if secure boot is not enabled.

rpm -ql rtl8852bu-ueficert
/etc/uefi
/etc/uefi/certs
/etc/uefi/certs/FA6CB96E.crt
