Wicked and openVPN advice question

I have revisited my old thread on setting up openVPN on Network Manager. That was several years ago and since then, although I use NM on laptops my desktops have been using Wicked.

I have no idea how to set up VPN using wicked and before I ask how, my question is; should I keep using wicked or now change to NM? I understand that Wicked is deprecated and now I am using TW should I change to NM before playing with VPN.

Unless it is absolutely required, it would be best you move away from deprecated software. It is a good opportunity to switch to NM now. Since you use NM on your laptop you could try openVPN there and then migrate your desktop to NM.
