wicd 1.7 rpm for opensuse 11.2

hi, you can find this program rpm in:

Index of /repositories/home:/dmitry_serpokryl:/Enlightenment-cvs-core-metapackage/openSUSE_11.2

put this link between your repositories. Late you can find this program for opensuse 11.2 with yast utility

It´s very important delete the network gnome for works with this program

NOTE: WICD it´s a network program who works without gnome dependences (keyring also)

Installed yesterday and it works great.

Could you show me how to use wicd? I am having a dbus error message and I cannot configure wlan0 for wireless connection.

Thanks a lot for your help.

suse 11.2 kde4.4
I installed wicd, I didn’t like it, and uninstalled it, but kdenetworkmanager didn’t works any more, I removed all resolve.conf (.local , .netconfig , and the normal, but why now are 3?) and now kdenetworkmanager works (with dhcp, later I will try with static address).
Did I made the right thing or I have to do further actions (like you suggested It´s very important delete the network gnome for works with this program) to have kde and gnome works?
If I reinstall wicd, I have to remove kdenetworkmnager and networkmanager too?

You do not have to remove it from your system, although I did. Just make sure that you have changed network control to ifup. This will automatically disable networkmanager and allow WICD to work.
