Hi,
This question relates to another one of mine at Ask Fedora. I have noticed that for some bizarre reason whenever I try to commit a vim.spec file (using the osc ci command) with the line:
Epoch: 2
added under the various Fedora packages being built this line is eliminated and no commit is published (as this was the only change to my vim.spec file, so without there’s no difference between my previous commit and my present one, in terms of file contents). When I created a separate vim package just for Fedora (so no building for openSUSE, so hopefully obs-service-format_spec_file wouldn’t alter my spec file) with Epochs the packages it published had no epochs in their filenames… If you want to look at the spec file I used just for Fedora here it is. Here is the official RPM packaging info on Epochs if you’re wondering what they are.
Thanks for your time,
Brenton
