I haven’t had any problems using K3B under 11.1 or 11.3 but I am using the most recent packman versions.
In the past I have had multiple hardware issues burning CDs and DVDs. The hardware it’s self can be broken and cause issues all on it’s own. It’s always a place to check.
I have binned several burners over the years. Most are built as cheaply as possible and sold for as much as the market will bear.
@ ah7013: I guess that one of the pacman repos remained enabled from the early days of the 11.2 to 11.3 upgrade. Thanks for noticing it.
As for the problem that i was having with k3b after trying again I found out that even when you’re about to start a new project k3b remembers the settings used on the previous one. Then if the previous project was set to continue multisession (I never let k3b decide the type of project automatically because at some moment I got fed up of it wasting my media by automatically closing it when maybe only 10% of the nominal capacity was used) and the media in the burner was new it would just ask me to introduce a suitable one…a media with at least one recording session on it.
