Why my BTRFS is in MD-0?

Good afternoon, everyone. I had a small issue with my notebook running openSUSE Tumbleweed on Btrfs, and I had to resolve it using the command

sudo btrfs --check --repair /dev/md-0

Here’s where my doubt arises: I thought that md-0 devices were for RAID, which I don’t have configured. Additionally, I also have the sda device, which left me wondering why my system is on md-0. This doesn’t happen on my desktop, which also runs openSUSE Tumbleweed on Btrfs. tried an answer through google, but no success.

At a command line window, copy / paste the output of

mdadm --detail /dev/md0
... then
cat /proc/mdstat

Why my BTRFS is in MD-0?

Because somebody put it there.

makes sense kkkk

Sorry for the delay, I didn’t have access to my laptop earlier

trying your tips i noticed it was not a md-0, but dm-0. My bad, stupid typpo while researching. Now i got my answer easily through google.

Basically its there in my notebook because it has a logical volume with LUKS, which i dont have in my desktop.

I wondered whether it could be LUKS. But you confused me with “md-0” instead of “dm-0”.
