Why is OpenSUSE missing from almost all hosting providers?
I’ve been using Ubuntu for over 10 years and recently tried OpenSUSE and was delighted. I thought I would try to implement this on servers, but I was disappointed that the distribution kit is not available on almost all hosting providers. Even German ones. I have been using Hetzner for a long time, I recently started Contabo, besides this there are several Russian providers and there is no OpenSUSE anywhere! but at the same time there are fresh AlmaLinux and Rocky. I think this is a big problem. How can we popularize the OS if it is nowhere to be found?

Welcome to the forum. I think the underlying problem is that most Linux users have been accustomed to Debian based distributions and so hosting providers want to offer what is most likely to please most Linux users. It is also likely that their devs will be more familiar with a Debian based distribution.

The most common server distributions are Debian & RHEL-based.
As a rule, openSUSE has always been present on Russian hosting providers.
But now it has been removed and they focused exclusively on Debian & RHEL-based.

Welcome z17cx. That’s interesting. I wonder why openSUSE no longer finds favour in Russia.
