Why is Akonadi only in UNSTABLE repo?

I just did ‘zypper verify’ and it told me there was a problem with akonadi-4.3.86svn1068163-6.4 and kdepim4-4.3.95. Zypper recommends that I uninstall akonadi to resolve this.

If I try that option, it tells me it needs to install libnotificationitem-1-1 along with downgrading a bunch of kde pkgs.

Then when I started checking I find that akonadi isn’t in the KDE4:/Factory:/ repo but only in the UNSTABLE repo (which is where the 4.3.86svn pkg came from). Also the pkgs in UNSTABLE are now for KDE 4.5.

Is the akonadi pkg for KDE 4.4 just late in getting into the factory repo? Does anyone have the akonadi pkg for KDE 4.4 rc2?

I have akonadi-runtime-1.3.0-44.1, libakonadiprotocols1 and libakonadi4-4.3.95-133.6.

I deleted akonadi with YaST and installed libknotificationitem-1-1 and now zypper is happy.

I’m still curious why akonadi is only in the UNSTABLE repo.

It’s not. It’s in the KDE4 4.4 RC2 repos as well, akonadi-runtime

Huh? In the UNSTABLE repo I see this:

akonadi-4.4.61svn1080816-4.4.x86_64.rpm
akonadi-debuginfo-4.4.61svn1080816-4.4.x86_64.rpm
akonadi-runtime-1.3.45-1.7.x86_64.rpm

In the KDE4:/Factory repo there’s only this:

akonadi-runtime-1.3.0-45.1.x86_64.rpm
akonadi-runtime-debuginfo-1.3.0-45.1.x86_64.rpm
akonadi-runtime-debugsource-1.3.0-45.1.x86_64.rpm
