Well, factory is factory, things are expected to break, so no big deal.
You should ask things about factory in the forum dedicated to factory,
which here is named “beta”.
The current factory version of zypper is zypper-1.11.6-1.1.i586.rpm. The
snapshot, official in the search window, redirects to normal directory,
and version 1.8.8 is no longer there, has been replaced with 1.11.6. The
search box is simply outdated.
No problem, search results are not updated every minutes. I don’t what
is the turnaround time, but it can be anything from hours to days.,
You don’t say what version zypper you have installed now. You can check with
zypper info zypper
Also, I don’t know which “32-bit” you’re clicking on.
Would be curious what the result would be if you clicked on “1 Click Install” for the chosen package. You don’t have to go through the entire installation, but you can see what the name of the package is and which repo it’s from.
Currently i am running openSUSE 13.1, so this information isn’t needed.
The problem isn’t that i don’t know how to install other version of the zypper, but that the version displayed on http://software.opensuse.org doesn’t match the real version. This is not first time i see this and that’s why i am asking. Zypper is the last example i encountered.
fo
Official release.
I suppose it will install the latest version from particular repo.

I would never install a different version of zypper. That’s not a
package I want to experiment with - unless I’m running a test, beta, system.

Dunno. If you see that only with factory, then I would simply forget it.
Maybe ask in the factory mail list.
It it happens for all versions, then it is more serious issue.
