Why aren't Packman packages showing in GNOME Software?

Hi everyone,

I’m using openSUSE (please specify Slowroll), and I’ve added the Packman repository correctly. I can see and install Packman packages using zypper, but they don’t appear in the GNOME Software application.

Is there a reason why GNOME Software doesn’t list Packman packages?
Is there a way to make them show up?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It does not list any packages at all. It only lists applications, which are not equal to packages.

Sorry for the stupid questions , but would you please clarify the difference, I was able to install vscodium, obs studio using zypper (CLI and Yast), in other hand gnome software shows only flatpaks and few apps from openSUSE official repos.

Application is defined by separate metadata and may consist of multiple packages. These metadata are extracted from packages and stored separately in the repository. Packman repository simply does not provide this information (even if available packages do define applications).
