who says there is no community?

I just wanted to thank everybody for the great forum.

I have not needed to post many q’s since I started using OpenSuse in 2008.

Who ever said Ubuntu has a better support forum???

It’s only a better support forum if it answers your questions faster, easier and thoroughly (and as a bonus: it works!).

There are times I post questions in this forum, Ubuntu’s forum and Fedora’s forum and see who answers it quicker (and better). Each forum takes their turn at being “better”.

@Dorax, and most if not all here would agree with you.

I have heard it said, and on occasion I have found it to be true, that you have a better chance of finding quick solutions already documented in ubuntu’s forum. However, I had to wade through many pages of irrelevant rubbish to get to the meat on those few occasions. YMMV of course. Maybe it was better “once upon a time”, but that was definitely before my time.

Hey Dorax,

Thanks for the thanks.

>Who ever said Ubuntu has a better support forum???

They wouldn’t dare.

You’re welcome, and IIRC this forum only started in mid 2008, so you’ve been here since the beginning, seen it all.

It’s got a lot of activity, lots of helpful ppl over there. But also lots of misguided (ie bad) advice too that I’ve noticed. I believe that the quality of advice on our forums is second to none, but then I’m prejudiced.
