Who do I report this silliness to?

In 12.1,11.4, and probably earlier opensuse versions, KDE 4 by default associates Ruby files .rb with a freaking game: Cuyo.

Yeah, it is not hard to change it, but I shouldn’t have to.

i don’t think so, because on my default installed KDE4 (without Cuyo
installed) .rb is associated with Ruby…

so, maybe when Cuyo was installed it made the switch–which it should
not have done…so, report the ‘silliness’ to the Cuyo folks…

It should associate with a text editor by default. Since Cuyo has no ruby dependencies I seriously doubt Cuyo is changing the KDE setting.

application/x-ruby is a subtype of application/x-executable, that’s the “mistery”.

Now please report this silliness where all silliness are reported: openSUSE:Submitting bug reports - openSUSE

Fixed in the update to cuyo 2.0.0.
