I changed the gtk style when I saw this and do no longer use oxygen-gtk
(which I did not like anyway).
Maybe you can file a bug if you think it should be changed?

Of course it should be changed, i installed opensuse kde in a friend’s computer, surprisingly the problem didn’t occur that time.

No need to tell it here - of course you can tell
but it will not change anything. You need to make the developers aware of
that(they are not here in the forum) with a good bug description (read this)

Yeah, I will submit bug report. In a coincidence i got a new clue, my nVidia graphics card’s temperature rose to maximum due to dust blocking the cooling fan, so removed nVidia and started opensuse with motherboard builtin intel graphics. Viola , the white boxes are gone. So definitely its an nVidia bug now, what why all people are not affected with it.

I am affected (but do not care since I use the oxygen-gtk only as long as it
takes to change it, this time I forgot and saw it in geany). It is not clear
if it is a nvidia bug or a KDE bug which just happens with nvidia, but for
your info and to confirm as you see below I also have nvidia with the
proprietary driver.
Let the developer figure that out, they can debug it. But add all your
observations.
(I speak here myself as a developer, it is my job. It is better to get a bug
report from the customer without assumptions from the user what it might be,
but with all details they can provide).

Attached nVidia graphics card again, and updated to driver version 270.41.06.
Problem fixed, white boxes are gone.

Thank you for feedback. I just updated to 270 and checked now oxygen-gtk
with geany and gedit, the white box is also gone here. But now quickly back
to clearlooks, I just can’t stand oxygen-gtk
