Which versin of opensuse is better ?

Hi,

Because I have a lot of issues in my computer, I’ve decided to install suse from 0. Which version of Opensue you recommend ?

Tumbleweed or Leap ? and why ?

Thanks for any feedback

Leap. It’s stable. Keeping Tumbleweed up to date is a daily job.

That depends on what you want. Although both are quite stable, Tumbleweed is the rolling release, bleeding edge and changing constantly, so if you like tinkering, testing, and contributing to bug reports (a very important part of openSUSE development, so a worthy objective), go with it.

If you want more stability, maybe just the occasional fix, go with Leap.

Well, that’s a pretty open question.
In my case?
My daily private pc has Tumbleweed because I like the rolling Suse which provides me with the newest packages
My daily work pc has Leap because I like its stabillity and it just works
My wife and daughter use Leap because they just want to USE a computer. (And I have not much work on it)
My travel laptop has Manjaro because it works out of the box on that and works with not to much trouble
My music laptop works with UbuntuStudio because thats what I need when I do music

As you can see I use what works for me and my family.
And Yes, you have to find out what suits you best, not from what I THINK suits you best.

Happy researching!

… for that, I much prefer KXStudio and/or AV Linux.
