I knew that you were kidding. Was just “pulling a leg”. And you could very well be labelled a wonder if you were from UK and did n’t read about Arthur and his flat, ahem! round table.
The round tables were also touted to be the first signs of democracy.
hmm… it seems anybody here never try/heard takeoff launcher ? :

a couple of years ago I was led to believe by the “powers that be” that the classic KDE start menu was only around for dinosaurs. I responded that the default menu was much slower and was a good way to wear out your mouse. Lancelot was interesting with the option to progress thru the menu by hovering over the “hot spot” (when it worked), but it was still slower.
People much smarter than me scoffed and over the development of KDE4 the classic menu has had some bugs that were neglected since the focus is elsewhere.
I arrived at the conclusion that my attitude that “efficiency beats eyecandy” is false, and I am, in fact, a dinosaur.
Do people actually work at computers anymore? Maybe the endgame is arriving at a internet-box.
Welcome to the dinosaur’s club.
I sometimes wonder.
In any case, to stay on topic I’ll mention that my primary launcher is the unix shell.
Lately I’ve been using the Homerun Launcher perfect for those of you with aging eyes (yes like mine!;)) check it out here:
Homerun - KDE UserBase Wiki
One more thing it’s in the opensuse/KDE repos.
Classic acordeon style for me,all the way baby!
12.3 /GNOME GNOME 3.6.2 ==>Alt+F2(Quick/command launcher) & Activities & custom keyboard shortcuts to run some scripts
I like Lancelot, but I also favor homerun.
For me there are too many clicks in kmenu’s app launcher and I am always having to use the keyboard.
Classic menu is good too.
I use panel with programs icons at lower part of screen. On the right edge is panel for task bar. Windows can cover both panels. Benefit is that programs can start fast with 1 click and minmimal visual disruption. For other programs which I don’t have icons I launch with Krunner or kickoff. It’s sad KDE doesn’t have proper dock :-/
I voted for* The New (Default) KDE Launcher* .
