Where’s the konsole/terminal in Gnome? I see xterm but it’s not the same.

If you didn’t install KDE you won’t get ‘konsole’ but if you did install
the Gnome packages you should get ‘gnome-terminal’. Install both and
you can run either app in either environment (I LOVE ‘konsole’, though I
run Gnome primarily).
Good luck.

Thanks, I found it.
what is the x-term used for? and why is there a super user terminal? I tried it and it didn’t open. Why would you need that when all you have to do is use $ su to get to a root prompt.

xterm is just the simplest terminal that always comes with every distro
as part of X, vs as part of Gnome or KDE. A super-user terminal is
probably just the same thing but loaded as ‘root’ to save a step for
people who like to save steps.
Good luck.
