Where'd my Wine go?

Hello everyone.

So, I installed wine by doing the following:

zypper in wine

And it completed successfully. What now? I can’t find it anywhere. On my wife’s laptop running Mint, a new submenu for wine appeared in the Mint menu and on my Ubuntu box, a new submenu in the Applications menu appeared. So far, I cannot find anything in the K menu for Wine. Is there another package I need to install with it?

Thanks in advance for helping this poor lost n0ob.

Nope, it’s ready to go! To configure it just open a terminal and type:

winecfg

Then you can click on an .exe and tell it to open with wine. It will do that for every .exe file after without asking. The programs installed with wine will make their own menu entries and can be found under applications>Recently Installed in the K menu.

Take Care,

Ian

Thank you!!! That’s just what I needed!

Have a great day!
