Where is Yast or the equvalent thereof

Just installed 16.0 successfully …ah…time will tell …

So, to get the system where I wanted to , I need Yast or the equivalent

In KDE Application menu, in System, are many of the YaST functions.

  1. The OP never mentioned the DE they are using.

  2. And this is about Leap 16 … Myrlyn is now the default Software Manager. Plus there’s Cockpit for other functionality that YaST offered.

No, that is of no value here. Cockpit and Myrlyn are the two most relevant graphical utilities for most common system admin tasks.

So you didn’t read the release notes. Please do; this time it’s not just a matter of casually clicking through the installer and hoping for the best.
