I just installed Open suse 11.1 and choose Gnome for desktop
I expected a ububtu like desktop (GNOME) but in the left-below corner there is only the button “computer”
Also I cannot find the terminal at all, Where can I find Terminal?

Hi. I’m a KDE user but afaik you can at least open Terminal with the gnome runner. Press “Alt + F2” and then type “terminal” or “Terminal”.

Look in the menu (slab) and search for terminal, else alt+F2 and enter
gnome-terminal.

No, but you can type gnome-terminal or ‘xterm’ is almost always an option
regardless of desktop choice.
