:frowning:

Milestone-5 is now listed on the main openSUSE page (as build 0200, instead of the 0180 of Milestone-4):
Software.openSUSE.org

I’m still waiting for the Milestone-5 announcement release, but it should be coming soon.

Is Kernel 2.6.31 included?

Kernel 2.6.31 is not released yet, rc4 is included. In general see http://en.opensuse.org/Factory/News

Yes I know that 2.6.31 is still in rc state, but very great news.

I note the version is now build 0201 on the openSUSE page. I susepct they are not quite ready to announce Milestone-5.

I can’t burn openSUSE-DVD-Build0200-x86_64.iso. It is too large.

It’s a PR game, Friday==bad announcement day. See Re: [opensuse-factory] About M5 (status distribution)

Hi
Use a dual layer DVD?

As noted here (thanks Beineri for the link): Re: [opensuse-factory] About M5 (status distribution)

From Stephane:

And additionally I made one stupid mistake: the x86_64 DVD is too big to burn it on most media. Either test i586 or using a virtual machine.

I’ve booted with NET iso and installed as described here: Installation using images - openSUSE

Linux lancer 2.6.31-rc4-1-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2009-07-29 16:01:26 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Stephan Kulow says milestone 5 is on the mirrors and the announcement will come monday
