Where is exportfs?

Hi,

In my previous (SuSE 10.2) system I used exportfs -a to activate any changes to the file shares I placed in /etc/exports.

Now I am getting to know my new SuSE 11.0 system, and the command exportfs does not seem to be there anymore. Has it been replaced by a different command or am I simply not seeing it due to my path settings?

Thanks,

Abe

/usr/sbin/exportfs

Hi again and thanks for the quick reply.

However, there is no exportfs in my /usr/sbin…

I know I did not remove it myself, and I assume that it should be put there as part of the installation process. So the question is why have I not got it and how can I get it?

Thanks,

Abe

$ rpm -qf /usr/sbin/exportfs
nfs-kernel-server-1.1.2-9.2

So it comes from the nfs-kernel-server package.

I installed nfs-kernel-server (which was not installed to begin with for some reason) and have exportfs now.

Thanks again!

Abe.

When I try install the rpm for nfs-kernel-server-1.1.2-9.2 it shows dependency on
nfs-client = 1.1.2 is needed by nfs-kernel-server-1.1.2-9.2.i586
libgssglue.so.1 is needed by nfs-kernel-server-1.1.2-9.2.i586
libgssglue.so.1(libgssapi_CITI_2) is needed by nfs-kernel-server-1.1.2-9.2.i586
libldap-2.4.so.2 is needed by nfs-kernel-server-1.1.2-9.2.i586
rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.2-1 is needed by nfs-kernel-server-1.1.2-9.2.i586

Is it okay to install these?
