where is Bluefish, Kompozer?

I just tried to install Bluefish editor and Kompozer web editor via zypper and Yast and they’re not listed? Where are they?

I’m running openSuse 11 in Gnome.

Good thing to bookmark Webpin finds alsorts of progs

Thanks, I found and installed Bluefish, but Kompozer is not there. Kompozer is about the only visual web editor for Linux these days. I’ve found it in repos of other distros. openSuse should have this one.

…just installed Kompozer from their site as a tar.gz file and extracted it to it’s own directory. It works but this isn’t as smooth as if it was in Yast.

Hi
NVU or just install the kompozer rpm from their site?

Thanks, I didn’t know we could use rpm with openSuse. I’ll delete the tar.gz one and install the rpm option instead.

Hi
Yes, rpm is the package management used by openSUSE. Now from the
tar.gz you could also build an rpm if there is a kompozer.spec file.

NVU is quite nice, it’s in the education repo along with bluefish
Quanta is another option

Kompozer is the improved bug fix version of Nvu.

My experience with Quanta is it crashes a lot. Unstable.

Bluefish does a better job.

Installed the rpm of Kompozer and it works just fine
