I remeber in older Opensuse versions there where a funktion to make a file for Autoyast network install!

I cannot find this funktion.
I have installed the Yast autoinstall tool but with kde 3.5 there are problems with some widgets.
And i think the tool is not the tool which i need.
I will only collect all informations from a running System and then i will install the same on many Workstations so that i have on all the same tools, progs and versions.
AFAIK, AutoYaST does not provide a way to automatically generate a control file based on a currently running system. Automatic generation of the control file is only offered as a last step during the installation of a system.
With the aid of the autoyast2 tool you can however rather easily generate a control file manually by making the same selections as you did during setup for the installation of your system.
