Where can I find an OpenSuSE 11.4 package for php-APC (Alternative PHP Cache)?

Hi-

APC (Alternative PHP Cache) is the most widely known and widely used PHP caching accelerator ( http://us2.php.net/apc ). It is without doubt one of the most widely used PHP extensions and is I believe created and maintained by members of the PHP dev team.

But I haven’t been able to locate a pre-built package for it on YaST. I would really prefer to keep this install clean and upgradeable rather than building apps from source.

I think that there is a package “php-apc” for other distibutions. Is there really no package in OpenSuSE for this or am I just looking in the wrong place?

Thanks.

Did you look here
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/server:/php:/extensions/openSUSE_11.4
it has php5-APC-3.1.9

PC: oS 11.4 (dual boot 12.1) 64 bit | Intel Core i7-2600@3.40GHz | KDE
4.6.0 | GeForce GT 420 | 16GB Ram
Eee PC 1201n: oS 11.4 64 bit | Intel Atom 330@1.60GHz | KDE 4.7.3 |
nVidia ION | 3GB Ram

Wow. Thanks Martin. That’s exactly what I needed. For some reason, that extension URL was not showing up in the list of community repositories in YaST.

Many thanks.

There is a search function on http://software.opensuse.org which helps a
lot finding packages which are not in the core of openSUSE.
Of course you always need to validate yourself if the packages are ok
and work right when you install some extra repository. I have several
for scientific computing and have a good experience.
For the repo I posted to you I cannot comment, I do not use it myself, I
hope it fits your needs.
Have much fun.
