Where can I find a good DOOM source port?

I tried compiled zdoom, but it’s a no-go.

I’d prefer doomsday, but I honestly am not any good at compiling anything. I’ve only managed to compile one program in my lifetime, DOSBOX. lol

But, does anyone know where I can get a package for a DOOM Source Port?

You could do a package search from here:software.opensuse.org: Download openSUSE 11.3

Freedoom, Vavoom, Prboom are some. I didn’t find doomsday prebuilt for OpenSuSE but it is available for linux. Perhaps you have to compile again?

I’ve only tried Vavoom and it’s several years ago so I can’t recommend anything.

the best one imo is skulltag. (it’s also the best for multiplayer imo).
i also like vavoom. works well.
