Hi
i am a freshman about linux and opensuse. i have sa try on opensuse 103. recently,but i find that my free-space on my disk is getting less and less very quickly on /home , where all the file-floders have not occupy such large space according to each file folder’s properity .
so ,i want to knoe what is occupying my lost space of disk ,and how can i free it ?
i need your hand

in such situations I found it very helpful to have a graphical display of directory sizes. Are you using KDE? In Konqueror, click View, View Mode, File Size View and watch your /home. This will probably give you a hint.
Also check filelight, Baobab or gdmap.

Another option is to run
du -h /home
from a command prompt
to list what directory/files are eating up your space.

Yeah, but with an aging /home like mine with tons of beagle indexes, Novell iManager installed and 20GB of MP3s, it will result in a list the length of “War and Peace”
