Where are my saved-to-desktop files!

Well, actually I know where they are, in my Desktop folder. They show nicely in Dolphin but not on my Desktop. Rebooting won’t even help.

Running OpenSuse 11.0 with KDE 4.1.2 “release 49.1”. Icons from installation (like firefox icon) are showing just fine, it’s new files that won’t show.

Enable folder view, - right click desktop for the settings

The Desktop you have in kde4 is not really a desktop as it was in kde3.
