Where are my bug reports

Hi,

I installed 11.2 M6 yesterday. Having some problems I
reported 3 bugs. I don’t find then in the bugzilla.

Did I do something wrong? Do they need a check before
going public?

I’m new to suse testing so might do some stuff wrong.

Can anybody point me to the reports? I’s from fwein@web.de
today and yesterday.

Thanks,

Fabian

Perhaps start with these:

Bugs:Most Annoying Bugs 11.2 dev - openSUSE

Submitting Bug Reports - openSUSE

Edit: Sorry should also state openSUSE wiki and bugzilla are great resources for a new user. Also Google/Scroogle search.

And by all means welcome to openSUSE. I have enjoyed this distro for 2 or so years now. Hope it goes as well or better for you.

Login into your Novell account at bugzilla and there you can find all your
reported bugs (under “my bugs” option) and their current status.

Fabian, I wish you luck. “My bugs” returned a grand total of zero for me.
The reason being, I think, that “my bugs” does not mean “my bugs”. It means
something like “my searches for bugs”. Why on Earth isn’t there a proper “my
bugs” that just searches for ones user-name as a reporter?

I think “My Bugs” is not a tool for finding the bugs one has reported, rather it is for finding the bugs that have been assigned to you to fix.

You’ll just have to search under the names that you filed the bugs to find them.

Never thought of that. Perhaps we need a “my reported bugs” button? I know
my first attempts at finding them through the search system were time-
wasting and riddled with failures.

A friend years ago described some software as being “as user-friendly as a
cornered rat”. Don’t know why I should suddenly think of that.

Thanks for the welcome. I use Suse for several years. Now I got a brand new quad core and the new (sound) hardware forced me to go alpha/beta testing as I want to hear to music while coding

That is the reason I never installed bugzilla but smaller solutions (for our small projects).

Thanks, I don’t feel stupid now

O.k, o.k… calm down

Yes, My Bugs returns nothing. What I did (and I did not remember as it was
done some years ago) was performing an “advanced search” with the following
fields:

Who and What
[x] Reporter
Is (my email address)

That returns all the bugzillas I already filled, so saving the search
results by using the bottom option “Save as”, makes the trick

THT…
