As long as I can remember, when I right-click on the desktop, and click on leave, I get options to logout, turn off the computer or restart. When I click on restart and hold down the mouse button, I get the option of booting to any other system installed on the computer. Since all my laptops are dual boot this has been very convenient - I don’t have to wait for it to shutdown and then restart it in another operating system. Since 12.2 was installed, this doesn’t work. Does anyone know if this is because of changes to grub, or is there something I can configure to bring back my preferred option (Just holding down the restart button to get other options)?
Just to be clear, when I shut off the system, I can restart my Windows7 system just fine. (It runs some legacy programs not available under Linux)

Yes, of course. Sorry for my testy response. I think I was confusing using a desktop and using a laptop with which desktop system I was using - and in my mind, of course Suse is synomous with KDE.
Sorry for my testy and petulant reply, Henk. In my mind I confused desktop with desktop computer instead of desktop operating system. And of course, OpenSuse is synonymous with KDE.
