what's wrong with software.opensuse.org?

Hi everybody,

some days ago i noticed certificate errors when entering software.opensuse.org: Download openSUSE 11.3. After clicking ok, the site eventually loads, but without a stylesheet. The page itself behaves quite slow and I often receive timeouts.

The German message in Firefox says

Ein Fehler ist während einer Verbindung mit static.opensuse.org:443 aufgetreten.

Ungültiges OCSP-Unterzeichnungszertifikat in OCSP-Antwort.

(Fehlercode: sec_error_ocsp_invalid_signing_cert)

The behaviour of konqueror is the same. I tried from different Locations (Office, at Home, my brother’s home…) and got the same results.

Anyone?

I’m not seeing any problems here… sorry

Forget about it. There’s something really strange going on with my mozilla sync profile. This clearly needs some more investigation.

Thanks for your replies…

don’t forget that http://software.opensuse.org/ is not actually a
place, but rather a traffic directory service which sends your traffic
to a nearby mirror…

so, what you see is likely not what caf4926 or others see unless you
two just happen to be close to the same mirror…

and, since it is probably a problem at a single mirror, we can expect
it will get fixed eventually…or, if you you can always manually
select a near mirror and give it a try, see:
http://old-en.opensuse.org/Mirrors_Released_Version

SORRY, i can’t find that article in the ‘upgraded’ wiki so, what you
see in the old wiki may or may not be up to date…

If you go to the main download portal, select mirror and click the button, you get a list of mirrors
tailored for your IP. It works for individual packages, too. That info is what the redirector would
give you, too.
