This started a few days ago, all of a sudden, and now my boot hangs for 30 seconds before completing.
All my BT devices work without any issues if this can help
The 30 seconds delay is already discussed in several threads and can be mitigated. It is caused by plymouth. Simply remove splash=quite
from the kernel command line…
But that doesn’t explain this new error message. Can you tell me what’s happening and what has changed?
Does the message influence anything? Do you see any issues whilst using your box? Are you sure that this message wasn’t there before the 30 seconds hang revealed it? This can be checked in the journal.
Thanks for your replies. I was simply worried the new message meant some updated driver or firmware had problems. I’ll have a look at the journal.
i guess you meant splash=silent
. Its like so in default installation

Yea, we remove these two:
“splash=silent"
quiet
… from the Kernel Command Line
Might also add:
enable.plymouth=0
