Online Update from Yast will install just patches by default.
Terminal method is as su and do: you

zypper lr

What are repo-non-oss and repo-oss(meaning)?

They are the 2 main Operating System repo’s. They actually supply the equivalent of the DVD, the DVD is disabled so you don’t have to keep putting it in the tray.

If i do “you” → should i check all security checkboxes?

Such updates should have a status
Eg: Important, Recommended…(IIRC)

will install only needed patches.
