I want to be able to send emails from the command line using the mail
command.
What is the current recommended way to configure this to use my Gmail account for sending the email?

It’s not exactly found on the openSUSE pages, but I’d think essentially the same way this page here explains:
Linux Mail Command
more specifically, it can’t just send it on its own, you’ll likely need to install postfix or sendmail, and configure one of them, to relay the mail to gmail.
Configuring Postfix
Infamous host erlangen is able to send mail. I configured with command yast2 mail
.
Some extra fun: Setting Up OAUTH2 Support for Fetchmail and Postfix.
I will check these out. I was hoping for an easier 1-2-3 guide for openSUSE specifically for Gmail. Let me see if I can figure out what I need to do.
I’m sorry but I do not understand. What does that mean?
Yikes. That seems complex. Let me see if I can decode all that. Thanks.
