i am trying to install 11.2 m2 KDE and am stuck at partitioning setup.

Was your disk part of a RAID array at some point?
If you are essentially reformatting the the disk and have no other hardrives attached and have nothing to lose on the disk – deleting all the partitions may help.
I’m not that familar with the suse install in particular but you should be able to do something like below during the install (to get back is usually Ctrl+Alt+F7 or you can start the install from scratch again);
Ctrl+Alt+F1
to get into a terminal
then su into root if it asks for a password you can usually just press enter;
su
then type;
fdisk /dev/hda
assuming that /dev/hda is your ide hard drive, might also be /dev/sda (sata,scsi), then you can delete partitions within fdisk or at least have a look at what’s going on.
only try if you have nothing to lose on the disk! and no other disks attached!
thanks tridy,
but i think i’ll wait for a second opinion on this one .
i don’t want to test for the possible consequences.
no worries
Why don’t you pick a stable release? The Milestone releases are meant for developpers and testers, not for operational use, or for people that want to try openSUSE.
good idea.
i’ll try 11.1.
