What happened to the local installed qt5 development documentation?

Yesterday there was a bunch of updates for qt5 which installed fine, but today I miss the qt5 develepment documentation:

Those neat html pages which where located before here are gone :frowning:
file:///usr/share/doc/packages/qt5/qtdoc/classes.html

Now they are replaced by some xml-pages which my browser (seamonkey) refuses to render in a human readable way
file:///usr/share/doc/packages/qt5/qtdoc/qtdoc.index
file:///usr/share/doc/packages/qt5/qtdoc/qtdoc.qhp

I also see some files with extension *.qch which seem to be sqlite3 database files?

Seems to be the package libqt5-qtdoc

Do I have to use the online version instead?

Edit: I am using openSUSE 13.2

:dont-know:Wow and I thought I was the only one to have a help location problem.
Not sure about new qt help system, I tried to set help files to all the (.qch)'s
I could find but qt5 complains about invalid qch format or something like
that, anyway it says it cannot register the qch files.

The help I could find online about this subject suggested that you could
download an off-line installer or even an online installer for qt but this
wont run on my system, maybe it would on yours.
They imply it will fix the help system bug.

These downloads are located on the Qt website. Maybe this will help
or this is possibly a way late reply.

Greets J.B.G.

Sorry for being late too.
I somehow didn’t notice this thread until now…

No, they are “Qt compressed help” files.

You can use Qt’s “Assistant” (package libqt5-qttools) to read those .qch files.

I have no problem here. Qt Assistant shows them fine. Qt Creator and KDevelop do too, even the Qt4/KDE4 versions.

How are you trying to read them?

Not sure about new qt help system,

Why new?
That already existed in Qt4 at least, see above.

Where did you do that, and how?

Thanks for the answer, although I am not sure if I will ever start to love assistant-qt5 …
