I don’t remember what it was called right now, but I liked the very light (openSUSE Green?) theme and now it’s GONE!
I think it’s gone forever. Sucks doesn’t it!

Look like some are happy.
Someone just flushed choice down the toilet?!
It’s been removed, see over in announcements…

And I’m upset I don’t have the choice to watch Analog TV here in the US
after next month, but I understand the resource/benefit ratio that was
no longer there to support it so I’ll have to live with it. You also
never had the choice to have openSUSE forums serve you a steak dinner
but I suppose you’re not as upset about that because you never got used
to forums doing that for you.

10oz rib-eye please;)
Don’t take it personally Kim, but I will miss what had become familiar. But if the change helps - I’m OK with it. Happiness will likely increase with increased familiarity.

As soon as I get a programmer to implement it…
> Don’t take it personally Kim,
I don’t. It was just what seemed to be a comment about choice in
general instead of specific that pulled my chain.
> but I will miss what had become familiar.
As will some of the staff that used it too. Which will you use now,
the openSUSE default or basic?
BTW, if that ribeye ever pops out in a discussion, lemme know will ya?
I want some of that.

Basic seem more comfortable to me.
> Basic seem more comfortable to me.
FYI the basic style is just the default vBulletin style with a few
colors changed, a few graphics changed, and the login module added.
Whenever we install a vB update, that style is updated without any
intervention on our part. It’s not as “pretty” as some other styles,
but it is easily readable IMHO.

Well my arguments won’t change a thing since even following the links provided here to the Poll it did not show a decisive non-Green stance with Keeping all 3 being the majority winner.

What the poll said was most forum users are apathetic about the issue.

The basic is the one I’ve been using since it came out of the scene;)
For me it’s the prettiest.
The openSUSE default skin is total fail for one reason - it wastes huge amount of screen estate for the top banner and the left box - both of which are completely useless.
Cut the openSUSE logo to 1/3 the size, the top green box the same, get rid of the left box and integrate it with the top / bottom and then you’re getting somewhere.
Some would say that’s openSUSE Basic, but the green there is aweful! it’s nowhere near the green that openSUSE Default has for its buttons.
The openSUSE Green theme had consistant, eye-pleasing green and was mostly white and clean. It was (is) the cleanest theme I’ve seen with a nice balance of openSUSE brand colors and rounded edges that I could look at it and read it comfortably for a while.
So until then I’m going with openSUSE Default because Basic is just puke (IMHO)
Oh, just noticed. The openSUSE Default theme has the Geeko for the favicon while openSUSE Basic has the forum’s default! I noticed it because the tab was right next to a Fedora forum tab and they have the same favicon!
