What happend with setting up a SuSE machine as a router?

I had no problem with setting SuSE 10.2 as a router. All machines on home network were working fine ( Linux and Windows ). Since version 10.3 nothing works ! All the seetings I know are not working! Version 11 is just a complete stuffup! Does anyone know a remedy? >:(

ICS - openSUSE

Yes!
I have 11.0 doing the same job as my 10.3 machine. Router/DHCP and DNS. Its pretty easy once you understand the differences betwwen the two. They are subtle and in appearance only. Here is Scott Morris’s original Cool Solution’s page 1Cool Solutions: SUSE Router How-To
Now the Routing applet no longer forms a part of Yast. It is particular to each NIC in its proterties in Yast. That is the main change. So you assign the gateway in the internal cards proerties in YAST2/Netwok Devices/Network Settings.
I will build a how to with screenies on my site if I get enough PM’S asking for it.

Try to see how it really looks like in SuSE 11 Yast settings! Just simply can not find it … Can’t those guys stop turning all the things up side down with every new release? If they do, should say how to get it on!

I’m sorry tried that and is not working…

to Chrysantine…I’m sorry, tried that and is not working… they are just making things worse, not easier & better!

it is strange but suddenly everything started working after I’ve restarted the computer and went thorough again with Firewall Setting->Allowed Services->Internal Zone->[Next]->[Finish] only. Before I’ve tried that many times without any positive result
