What are the best Opensuse games to date?

What are the best games which can be installed and run on Opensuse 13.2?

It (they) will need to rival most Win games in graphics. Granted not something like Skyrim but a fair rival.
Preferred first person and local play. Minecraft is pretty good but the blocky context kinda disqualifies it as a a good graphics game IMO.

What are your favorites? Something I can download and boast about to my Win friends.
Thanks!

I’m a total addict of Eternal Lands. It is a 3D role player with open ended goals.

Used to be available in the Repos but it I don’t recommend it since it installed as root and updates were a problem. Just download the zip and follow instructions. It is a free game though you can buy stuff to support it there is no requirement or need.
Also like Wesnoth Available from the repos.

If you like pool there is a great pool game emulator that works great foobillard I think it is also in the repos. You might want to also sett the game repos lots of stuff there of varying quality

steam does offer a lot of big commercial games for Linux.
A few of myy favorite open source games (available in the oss repo or the obs:game repo) are SuperTuxkart, warzone 2100, simutrans and SuperTux, unfortunately none of them are fps, if you have decent enough hardware you may be able to install most windows games under wine.

A few other oss games I’ve enjoyed on openSUSE are abuse-free, xmoto and gl-117, these have poor graphics but are quite fun, they’re small and to install them just zypper their names.

ps. I almost forgot Cannon Smash

I used to play Skyrim under WINE a couple of years ago, after a bit of a hazzle with the WINE set-up and the installation, the game ran very well.

Penumbra and Amnesia is available as native games, if you like horror.
More and more game titles seem to be released for Linux now, Steam’s Linux catalogue is getting quite decent.

Look here if you want to play windows games on Linux:

BTW, the game repo, available for openSUSE, holds lots of games for you to test out.

Cheers,
Olav

The original Broken Sword Adventures are running great with ScummVM. On Humble Bundle you can buy the remastered versions of Broken Sword which are running native on Linux.
