Hi folks, first I like to give some thanks to you folks, You guys are the best. I have a small problem, I installed License manager from Softimage for XSI 7 and well the whole time installing I couldn’t see a text for the life of me. It was just squares and something here and there. I pretty much feel I have the dependicies installed but I just cant get the text. Please help once again.

You mean the GUI type box, but it’s blank? If you start it from the
cli, is there any output there. Maybe there is an install log?

Yes the GUI box, CLI? whats that, im a noob some I actually got lucky that the setup worked. The text is just “squares” thats all, and I didn’t get any errors installing, I simply followed a PDF doc from Softimage that showed the Dialog windows and deciphered from there, but still if it wasnt for that Oh my God. It would have been hell. So yeah the GUI for text just shows “Blocks and Squares” and I dont know why. its weird!

Tried it here (32bit) and it works fine. I wonder if it’s a font or
python issue. What python packages have you installed?
Can you run the following and post the output?
zypper se -i python
