Welcome to the 64-bit Forum.
You are surely wondering why 64-bit is stuck in hardware. The answer is really very simple, the developers have done such a good job with software that there are really no problems with 64-bit software that are not common to 32-bit software problems. Post your 64-bit software problems in the regular “Software” Forum. (Some 64-bit software solutions that come to mind “Flash”, “Firefox and 64-bit Java”, etc., already reside in the suseforums.net 64-bit “SF Archive” and the suselinuxsupport.de 64-bit “SLS Archive”; have a look.)
There are a few 64-bit hardware problems that pop up, mainly, because of OEM/3rd party sitting on propritary 64-bit drivers. There are workarounds though; most of those solutions already reside in the suseforums.net 64-bit “SF Archive” and the suselinuxsupport.de 64-bit “SLS Archive”. If you are in a hurry, check out those forums; but, don’t hesitate to post your 64-bit hardware problem here. We will try to help where possible, or, we will try to help you get help.
Have fun:)
