Weired ping problems in working network

Hey you all,

I’m new to SuSe and lateley I was trying to establish a Network, when some weired problems occured…

I was able to establish the network and i have connection to the internet.
The suse-machine is rechable by ping from all the other computers in the network.

If I’m tryiing to ping the other computers from the suse-machine, nothing happens.
The router responds without packet loss, but every other ping occurs in:

From 192.168.2.6: icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.2.6: icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.2.6: icmp_seq=4 Destination Host Unreachable
From 192.168.2.6: icmp_seq=5 Destination Host Unreachable

I’ve been searching for some ideas to solve this problem but couldn’t find any…
So now I’m here asking for some help

Thanks a lot up front!

Nigel

I have a script file called netinfo which can help pull out information about your network setup here:

netinfo - Read Network & PC Information into a Local Text File

Message #11 has the most recent version of the script file to use. You can then post all or a portion of the file as you think might help. I normally switch to the advance message editor and then enclose such information in a code tag (highlight the text in question and press the # code button). If you use wireless make sure to blank any network names or passwords should they be present. The info provided is extensive and can really help see how your network is configured on that PC.

Thank You,
