Weird...

I just put in an ATI x300 to see what would happen, and installed the proprietary driver from AMD. So far, there is better graphics with some things! Is this normal? My ATI x700 Pro wouldn’t allow hardware support…

Ok, I just plugged in my ATI x700, and I can run Guild Wars and blender so much more smoothly with no problems!

Hi Rabbitdog,

Cool, from what I have heard the ATI experience on Linux is normally a very painful thing (I am on nVidia myself so I have not experienced it first hand)… Well glad things are looking up graphically for you

Neil

Hi
Might have been conflicting IRQ’s with your hardware. There is a BIOS
setting to re-read the hardware and reallocate…
